About Michelle, Claudia & The Ride
Michelle Dell and Claudia Glenn Barasch, co-producers of the Lady Liberty Ride.
Michelle is a dedicated, strong and generous force in the local community. She owns and operates Hogs and Heifers Saloon in NYC's Meat Market and Downtown Las Vegas. Hogs has been and continues to be supportive of local growth and sponsoring various annual fund raisers for kids at risk, kids in medical need and of the families of 9-11. Michelle and Hogs have played an integral role in the resurgence and preservation of the Gansevoort Meat Market in downtown Manhattan.
Claudia is the Executive Vice President of LOVE U.S. and the President of Claudia Glenn Events. A mother of two sons and beautiful step-daughter, Claudia's event planning covers a wide range of clients, from large-scale events and annual fundraisers for several non-profit charities to smaller, private affairs. With 20 years of riding experience, Claudia stands as a strong role model for women riders. Claudia's role as a key fixture on the Executive Board of Leave Out ViolencE (LOVE), is a product of her dedication to the organization's values, and help it provides to children in need.
Both Claudia and Michelle co-starred in Motorcycle Women, a documentary produced by the Discovery Channel. The film followed 6 women on their adventures as they rode cross-country en route to San Francisco's Girl Power Ride. These two women have also been featured in several other documentaries, including The Harley Davidson 100th Anniversary film and Discovery Travel's The History of Sturgis.
Come help us celebrate Women Riders, The Motorcycling Community, and NYC's Youth All in the name of LOVE!
Dedications
Gasper
Trama, founder and owner of the Trama Motorcycle and Auto School in
Woodhaven, NY, taught most motorcycle enthusiasts in the tri-state area
including the founders of Lady Liberty Ride, Claudia Glenn Barasch and
Michelle Dell. As a well respected and influential member of the
motorcycle community in the US, he and his wife, Bea, have also been
involved sponsors and supporters of LOVE. Since Gasper’s
untimely death in 2006, we dedicate our annual Lady Liberty Ride in his
memory.
Jennifer
Rathe, a close friend of Claudia and Michelle and active supporter of
Lady Liberty Ride and LOVE, passed suddenly in June 2007, at the young
age of 37. Jennifer won the first motorcycle raffle at Lady
Liberty Ride block party in 2003 and from that moment on, you could
always find her on her bike. In loving memory, we also dedicate
this year’s ride to Jennifer.
